Stacking the Shelves #11

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what books they got throughout the week!

Update:

I got sick pretty sick this week and a half and am just now feeling better. But I haven't been reading since I was getting headaches. And I didn't want to force myself to read something and end up hating it so I thought it would be better to just rest up.

I am however planning on finishing Kissing Games and maybe Love and Other Words too. These two books at either a quarter, if not half, way finished so it wont take me long. I hope.

Book Mail:

This week I received a lovely order I made on Bookoutlet in the mail. And I have just finished up the video on the book haul. But I will be doing a separate post on that. So keep an eye out on that.

Stacking the Shelves #10

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what books they got throughout the week!

Update:

I haven't done that much reading this wee since My grandmother fell and hurt herself pretty bad. So where taking turns to take care of her which means I have no time to read. But I have been keeping close by some books just in case.
Kissing Games because I won it on a good reads giveaway a few months back. And I had read the first book in the series, How To Keep A Boy From Kissing You. Plus I'm participating in the blog tour for the book.

And Hamlet because I was going to do an assignment on it. So you already know I'm procrastinating and haven't read much from it.

Kissing Games by Tara Eglington        Hamlet by William Shakespeare

Book Mail:

This week I received a book I won on a goodreads giveaway. It had been a long time since I had won anything so I was very exited to get this.  Plus, I've been hearing a lot of good things about this book. Seeing it all over Instagram. And lets not forget the beautiful shade of orange the cover has which my shelves needed.

Stacking the Shelves - 9

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what books they got throughout the week!

I wanted to do one of these posts for a while now. So here it the comeback of my Stacking The Shelves series.
I also noticed that I was doing these all wrong. I was adding the books I was currently reading and an update when these posts are about the books I get to add to my shelves. But I think it's okay to join an update with a haul. So I think I'll keep doing them like this.

As For Update:

Last week I participated in my first readathon. It was hosted by Heart Full of Books from booktube, called Reading Double. I followed them on Twitter to do the reading sprints and despite the time zone difference, I had so much fun challenging myself to read more and faster. They were so lovely and made such a cool readathon.

I did the to books of the same color but with the same colored backgrounds. Blue and Green gradient.
But sinceI had already read half of Two Good Dogs by Susan Wilson I read 154 pages during the challenge plus, 10 pages off of My Fair Lady by Laura Wettersten.

Book Mail:

Books To Read:

I will try and read the following books but know that I will fail and end up not reading them. That's just the way it is.
I had won a copy of American Gods on GoodReads and I started reading it at the same time I was watching the show but now that the first season is over I can get my fix trough the book. Love the series by the way. It was amazing. And Kristin Chenoweth is phenomenally beautiful and amazingly talented.

I also got a NetGalley copy of Not Now Not Ever, and Retribution Rails. And I won an arc copy of The Inevitable Collision of Birdie & Bash.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Retribution Rails by Erin Bowman
Comes out on  November 7th, 2017

Not Now Not Ever by Lily Anderson
Comes out on November 21st, 2017

The Spice Box Letters by Eve Makis

Curioddity by Paul Jenkins

My Faire Lady by Laura Wettersten

Comes out on July 25th, 2017

Links to the GoodReads pages of every book is in the titles above.

Stacking The Shelves - 8

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what books they got throughout the week!

Around the same time I went on my hiatus I stopped doing STS posts. Duh! But even after I started blogging again I didn't start these. I don't think I was into having to know I had to blog every week. But now I want to write one.

As For Update:

This week I haven't done much reading to update on.
But I have taken it upon myself to clean my bookshelf and organize my books into piles. Books Read, Books that are in a series and I don't own the first or the ones before it, Books I don't want to own,  Books To Read and Books to Read with No Urgency.
My whole bookshelf situation is bad since I have a bookcase that is two parts that go together to form a 5 shelf bookcase. But I only have the top part assembled and it's warped and on top of a dresser. It's a mess.
And I can't assemble the two parts together cause apart from the fact that we live in a basement type of place if the place floods I'd lose my books. So that has me terrified.

Book Mail:

I got You Don't Look Your Age by Sheila Nevin by winning a Goodreads giveaway.
Yay!

Books To Read:

As for books, I'm looking forwards to reading next. Hummmm~
I was thinking of maybe finally finish I'm Traveling Alone by Samuel Bjork.
Or start A Study in Charlotte by Britany Cavallaro or Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion which my friend lent me.

Stacking The Shelves - 7

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what books they got throughout the week!

I completely forgot about Stacking The Shelves,  so I'm doing it on a Wednesday.
This week not much has happened. I haven't read much of anything and I haven't gotten books. Except for today, which is the reason I remembered this post.

I also have been working hard on finishing the first draft of my novel to finish it before the year ends. And I actually finished it yesterday which is both exciting and scary. Now I just have to print it out and do some edits and annotations and stuff to make sure somethings make sense or add certain things. You know editing stuff.

As For Update:

This week and the past one I read a bunch of Harley Quinn graphic novels. I love Harley Quinn since like the beginning of her existence but I think I love her more since I read her recent graphic novel series. Since after her thing with the Joker. Like I'm so glad that she got over him. I love her so much when she's just herself.

I also read the two awesome children books that I got sent by Nobrow.
The Brownstone’s Mythical Collection: Arthur and the Golden Rope by Joe Todd Stanton
&
Nightlights by Lorena Alvarez Gomez

Haul:

Gosh! It's just so beautiful. Plus, that orange spine and the title font are way pretty.

Books To Read:

I, sadly still haven't gotten to reading this book, which is such a tragedy because it's so good. At least the part I read was good. Last week took it with me to the dentist office for a clean up I had to get and while I waited I read like over 20 pages. It's an easy read but I'm just lazy sometimes.
😏
