In the tradition of Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic, one girl chooses to change her fortune and her fate by falling in love.

Love is real in the town of Grimbaud, and Fallon Dupree has dreamed of attending high school there for years. After all, generations of Duprees have successfully followed the (100% accurate!) love fortunes from Zita’s famous Love Charms Shop to happily marry their high school sweethearts. It’s a tradition. So she is both stunned and devastated when her fortune states that she will NEVER find love.

Fortunately, Fallon isn’t the only student with a terrible love fortune, and a rebellion is brewing. Fallon is determined to take control of her own fate—even if it means working with a notorious heartbreaker like Sebastian.

Will Fallon and Sebastian be able to overthrow Zita’s tyranny and fall in love?

The Cover:
Although they say never judge a book by it's cover I believe the cover should represent what the book is going to be like or at least some aspect of it.
The cover is so intricate ad beautiful. With tiny buildings in bright lovely colors like the building in the book. And the characters with their partners. This is just perfect.
It kind of reminds me of the covers for

The Story:
Fallon goes into Zita's Love CharmShop to get her fortune. But is devastated when she finds out that her fortune is that she will never find love. Along with other unfortunate people who are in her high school, they try to figure out just who the mysterious Zita is.

Relationships:
There were more than one couples and relationships in this book but I will only talk about one of them.

Fallon x Sebastian
These two are incredibly cute. They both are unfortunate with their fortunes from Zita's. And they gravitate towards each other sharing things they don't share with other characters. My points that they are great and... yeah.

Settings:
I almost never like every setting I a book but I did with this one. The entire town is wonderful. The town sounds beautiful. Like its set in an Italy/Venice looking place, The school sounds cool. Yeah, I just really like this Love Fortunes and Other Disasters world.

Overall:
This book is perfect.

I adored the main characters as well as every other character. Fallon was very cool. First of all, her name is awesome, Fallon Dupree. And then she's just out the doing her very best despite what gets thrown at her. And Sebastian is just the best. Yeah, he comes off as a jerk and a womanizer but as you keep reading you learn to like him. Or at least I did.

There are the fantasy elements in the story that fit in perfectly. With things like fortunes that define your future love life and Cupid and spells. And I loved that in this book so much that I really want to continue the series and read the second book, Love Charms and Other Catastrophes.

And that end. Wow, that ending. Please read this book and love it like I have.
