Phoenix can't imagine anything worse than being shipped off to family summer camp. Her parents have been fighting for the past two years—do they seriously think being crammed in a cabin with Phoenix and her little brother, Harry, will make things better?

On top of that, Phoenix is stuck training with Callum—the head counselor who is seriously cute but a complete know-it-all. His hot-cold attitude means he's impossible to figure out—and even harder to rely on. But despite her better judgment, Phoenix is attracted to Callum. And he's promising Phoenix a summer she'll never forget. Can she trust him? Or is this just another lie? (less)

The Cover:
Although they say never judge a book by it's cover I believe the cover should represent what the book is going to be like or at least some aspect of it.
I adore this book cover. Though I wish it went more towards the aesthetic side of camping or nature like the photos in Pinterest or Tumblr. Maybe it's because I thought it was a bit too bright. Maybe it's because I think the couple in the cover doesn't look good or who I imagined Phoenix and Callum to be.

The Story:

Phoenix's family is going bankrupt and in an effort to try and fix things her parents go on a family trip to stay at a summer camp till the know what to do next There Phoenix knowing the secret her parents are keeping she tries to separate herself from her already distant parents and meets camp counselor Callum. A boy who she begins to have feelings for.

Relationships:

Phoenix x Callum
They are so cute together. It's a kind of relationship where they don't really talk or spent that much time together at first but then they get closer till they have feelings for each other. And there also the aspect that they both live so far away from each other and they are graduating from high school soon so there was a lot at stake for them.
Still, summer was on full blast for them and after getting assigned a few trips in which they get to spend time together they come to know each other better.

Settings:

The camp was amazing. It made it sound like so much fun and I kept picturing this really beautiful place inside a beautiful forest with a gorgeous lake. I was so into this place.

There was also the scene with the bike and Callum's car at the end.

Overall:

The characters were good, the setting was great and the drama was interesting. There wasn't that much happening. Like I wish it was a bit more fun. By that, I mean a bit more dramatic. Yeah, there were disasters, and distress, and heartbreak but I somehow wanted more and I think that's why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

What I said on GoodReads:
I liked this book. It was such a good story about a girl going trough her own problems. A recent breakup, parents who keep the secret of not being able to keep the house, and the secret she keeps of wanting to go to a college far away.
