Nobrow a publishing company that creates mainly comics and graphic novels have been so gracious and sent me two really awesome comics that were absolutely well received and loved by me.
They have a bunch of really cool artist doing really cool things so I totally recommend you give them a visit.
The ones I got are Vacancy by Jen Lee and Lost Property by Andy Poyiadgi and I can honestly say that when I got them in the mail I was extremely excited to see them. I guess its the cuteness of short story through art. Though I did love them more when I finished reading them. I gave them both five out of five in Goodreads and here in this review.

In a disheveled and ransacked backyard, a dog named Simon has been forgotten by his owners. Simon breaks free and partners with a raccoon and a deer who take him into the woods. But Simon realizes he is not quite ready to live in the wild. And in the abandoned areas of the town strange things begin to happen. . . .
Vacancy explores the ways that animals think; how they internalize their changing environment and express their thoughts, fears, or excitement.
Thoughts:
These are 24 paged comics so the chance they get to make a good story is limited but Jen managed to create a story that I still remember.
For me, Vacancy was like a weird dystopian dream.
Like it's about this dog that can speak and walk on his two hind legs and wear clothes basically he's a human-like dog. and he is stuck in his backyard with nothing to do but look through a hole in his fence into the woods. That's when he meets a raccoon and a deer who take him along with him and they become friends. It was so interesting how all the animals became more human and the humans disappeared so it makes you think that this is what happened after something big and the people either went away or dies. Its a really interesting story for me and I really liked it, I can't say that enough.
Holding a comic in my hands after so many years reminded me of my love of art and how I used to draw almost every day of my life until I stopped. And having grown up around it. As my father left his paintings on our living room walls and my brother loved anime and manga and what he drew.

Synopsis:
Gerald is just your regular everyday mailman. One day, having lost a precious and personal item, he visits his local lost and found. There he finds far more than he bargained for, because in this "self storage", each and every one of Gerald’s lost possessions has been kept and contained.
Thoughts:
This comic is about a mailman who discovers that there is a lost and found place where all the things inside used to belong to him. That they were his lost things.
I love how he really didn't freak out that this store had all the things he had lost since he was a kid but instead chose to do the first thing that came to his mind and something he used to love to do created works of art.
Truly a really cool story.
