Book Talk | Finding His Way Home by Mia Ross

Book Talk  | Finding His Way Home by Mia Ross

I got Finding His Way home by winning it on a Goodreads giveaway and the same morning I had to go to the dentist. I took it with me and started reading it. At first I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it but I started to get drawn in. I have not finished it because college started but as soon as I get the chance i will finish this so I can give a good review.

WhenI got this book in the mail I fell In love with it. The cover, the pictures on the inside, the way it's beautifully written. I did win this on a Goodreads giveaway so I dont have the first one but I stil enjoyed this. I have not finished it cause of school but I intend to.
I actually got this the day I had to do groceries shopping. I opened it and set it on the cart. I was reading and going through the aisle without looking up. Fun and dangerous. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks | Review

Review of:
The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks

I have always loved watching the Nicholas Sparks movies. So when I saw that The Best of Me movie edition was on the shelves at Walmart I snatched it up and didn't look back. I was so happy I got it too.

Title: The Best of Me

Author: Nicholas Sparks

Publication: August 26th, 2014 by Grand Central Publishing

Format: Paperback, Movie Tie-In Edition, 333 + Excerpts from The Longest Ride

Source: I bought it.

Genres: Romance, Chick Lit, Contemporary

Rating: ★★★★

Synopsis:
"Everyone wanted to believe that endless love was possible. She'd believed in it once, too, back when she was eighteen." In the spring of 1984, high school students Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole fell deeply, irrevocably in love. Though they were from opposite sides of the tracks, their love for one another seemed to defy the realities of life in the small town of Oriental, North Carolina. But as the summer of their senior year came to a close, unforeseen events would tear the young couple apart, setting them on radically divergent paths. Now, twenty-five years later, Amanda and Dawson are summoned back to Oriental for the funeral of Tuck Hostetler, the mentor who once gave shelter to their high school romance. Neither has lived the life they imagined . . . and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever changed their lives. As Amanda and Dawson carry out the instructions Tuck left behind for them, they realize that everything they thought they knew -- about Tuck, about themselves, and about the dreams they held dear -- was not as it seemed. Forced to confront painful memories, the two former lovers will discover undeniable truths about the choices they have made. And in the course of a single, searing weekend, they will ask of the living, and the dead: Can love truly rewrite the past?

Thoughts:

I got this book for the same reasons I got Horns. Because the movie was coming out but also because I really wanted to read a Nicholas Sparks book. I always loved the movies based on the books he wrote and it was about time I read an actual book he wrote. I don’t regret it one bit. I loved it, from start to not really the end. Still can’t believe it.
I loved the characters, the emotions, the description of the places made me see it in my mind, and even the realness of it all. Even if there were scenes that seemed unrealistic to me they weren’t. Like the first part where he survives the explosions and the part where Dawson hit his brother with a tire iron in the face and he still walked. I really, really fell in love with this story.

Horns by Joe Hill | Review

Review | Horns by Joe Hill

I am writing my first ever review of any book ever. And I'm so excited about it all.

I got my mom to buy this book for me and I'm happy she did because it was such a wonderful experience. The movie was about to pop up in theaters and I really wanted to read this book before it did. Just because I wanted to know what all the hype was about. And frankly speaking, the book was better.

I updated this post. Update from Dec. 27, 2018
This is what I had said before:
I would like to write my review for this book. The movie was about to be released and I wanted to know what the hype was about so I grabbed the book. Frankly speaking, I liked the book better.

Thoughts:
This was the first book that I read in a long time that was actually completed. I finished reading it and was so proud of myself for it. I liked the story but at the same time, I was bored. Mostly because of the flashbacks. But I did manage to finish it in a couple of weeks.
The real reason why I picked this book was for the movie. I wanted to read it then see the movie so I could compare them.

I was interested the whole time I was reading it and curious about what could happen next.

Update from Dec. 27, 2018
I'm so thankful for this book for so many reasons. Not only was it thilling enough for me to want to continue readng but it was also a book I had read from page one till the last page. Before this book that wouldnt have been possible if Im being honest with myself. No mtter ow had I tried. I either gave up in anger because I couldnt understand. Or just didnt try at all. Ad now that I have sort of figure out that reading books in English is so much more smoother for me to understant and to like. I have so much passion for books and reading. And Im gld that Horns found m because thats how I feel. That this book mades its way towards me so that I can discover my love of books and how much I would love, not only the communit, but to eventeually write a stoyr myself. Which is something I wouldnt have thought would be possible.
